Usually calculus is very difficult for students. It is probably one of the most challenging math classes. That’s why you have to do your homework as efficiently as possible. Follow the tips given bellow to master this subject and do well in it.

  1. Develop your homework strategy.
  2. You have to think about how much time you will spend on calculus and other classes each day. It will help you organize your home assignments in general and leave time to rest. Overworking does no good.

  3. Spend from two to four hours on calculus homework.
  4. This will allow you to spend more time on the assignments that you have problems with. Moreover, when you spend more time on your homework you will be able to explain all your actions to a teacher or classmate better. Your understanding of the subject will become much clearer.

  5. Memorize theorems, formulas and definitions immediately.
  6. You should not postpone memorizing important information. The sooner you memorize, the better you will remember, and the deeper your understanding will be.

  7. Do some calculus every single day.
  8. To remember important theorems and formulas, you have to work on calculus even on weekends. During days off there is no need to spend several hours on it. One hour to refresh your memory and skills will be enough.

  10. It will be very useful for you to do your home assignments regularly in a group of fellow students. Working in a group will save a lot of time on solving difficult problems. Sometimes, when you don’t know what to do your brain just stops thinking in despair. It would be wise to ask for help the one of your partners in such a case. However, you should always try to solve problems on your own. Resort to such measures only if you’re in a pinch.

  12. Read your class notes, look through homework solutions, listen attentively to your professor or teacher, and discuss difficult questions with your partners. It is best to use every resource you can.

  13. Prepare for the exams very thoroughly.
  14. The reason for doing homework is to be well prepared for your exams. Start preparing for the exams a week before you take them. Use this time to refresh all your knowledge and work on anything you don’t understand clearly. Expect the exams to be very difficult. If it happens to be true, you will be prepared. Otherwise, you will get a high grade rather easily.
